The Church of God at Long Lane in Halesowen is what was formally the church in Northfield.  The church was originally organised in 1977 under the leadership of Pastor Lurline Harrison (deceased). Our first place of worship was Frogmill school hall on Wareham Road, Frankley.  From there the church membership grew at a rapid pace with new converts joining the congregation from all parts of Birmingham and the surrounding areas. Over the years we have also worshipped at Deelands Hall in Rubery, Longbridge Social Club as well as other venues including the homes of members when we were without a building.  In 1985 a building was purchased at 1831 Bristol Road South where we worshiped until 1997.  After major disruptions in the Church worldwide we moved to St. Christopher’s Church Centre where we shared the premises with the Anglican and Methodist congregations.  We pride ourselves in being a friendly Church where all are welcomed.  Our congregation is a vibrant one composed of members of all ages and where each member is of equal importance.
